March 23 2025-Jingxian County in east China’s Anhui Province is the birthplace of Xuan paper, a type of handmade Art paper that has a history of over 1,000 years. Boasting its anti-aging, anti-discoloring and anti-decaying quality, the Xuan paper usually has a long life span.

The traditional way of making Xuan paper includes over 100 procedures to serve high-standard artistic creations, such as calligraphy, painting, etc. The craft of making Xuan paper was listed as one of the national-level intangible cultural heritages in 2006 and a world intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2009.
